Being content

You may not be able to change your job right now but that doesn’t mean you can’t feel valuable in your life as a whole. You may not be able to move to a new city but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a peace of mind. You may not be able to have the relationship you want right now, but that doesn’t mean you that you cannot feel loved and share love in a meaningful way. Sure, it won’t be the same. But, it will connect you to what is deeper. It will remind you of what it is you truly want. It will show you that beyond the person, place, or thing that you long to have, you can still be satisfied in the present moment.

This is contentment. This is what it means to be joyful and satisfied in your current state. It’s knowing that despite all you do not have, there is endless, boundless grace for you to still feel loved
